Located in Westport, County Mayo. The New Cinema Theatre opened in the Town Hall in 1931. It is first listed in the Kine Year Books in 1936 when it had 430 seats. It was run initially by a group of businessmen but later by a Mrs P. Malone and James Ruddy by which time it is reported to have had 550 seats. It does not appear to have had any ‘proper name’. It was sold to the church who operated it as a cinema from 1967. It was refurbished in 1973 but closed in 2008

It was refurbished and reopened as the Town Hall Theatre on 12th June 2015. Seating has been reduced to 225.
