Oldham 8 Theatres

Opened on December 8, 1995, the Oldham 8 Theatres were located in the Oldham Plaza Shopping Center. They were the first movie theaters to operate in La Grange since the Griffith Theatre had been destroyed by a fire on January 17, 1960. The multiplex was taken over by Great Escape Theatres in September, 1998.

The Great Escape chain was taken over by Regal Cinemas in November, 2012, and the Oldham 8 was closed on May 9, 2013. After standing vacant for some time, the building was converted into a church.

The building with the large cross above the entrance in Google street view was the location of the Oldham 8 Theatres. For the time being, the old theater facade can still be seen if you move street view left along First Street and then down Parker Drive.
