Located in Oban, Argyllshire at the corner of Argyll Square and Station Road. The Playhouse was opened as a cinema in 1934. It was operated by Oban Playhouse Ltd. The proscenium was 30ft wide and it was equipped with a Western Electric(WE) sound system. It had a tea room and cafe attached.
The Playhouse was still open in 1966, but had closed by 1980. It has been demolished and McGregor House containing shops with housing above now stands on the site.
