Windsor Theatre

A small movie theatre that advertised in the local newspaper, Evening Tribune, in 1910. It was located on Randall Square, (Charles Street and Randall Street). More information on this place would be appreciated.

The Windsor is not listed in the 1914-1915 American Motion Picture Directory. The directory was not exhaustive, though, many small theaters being left out, so the Windsor might still have been in operation that late.

The address was given as 167 Charles Street in a 1913 city directory.

In a 1919 city directory another theatre at about the same address is given as 191 Charles Street and named the Palace Casino. Perhaps the Windsor and the Palace Casino were the same theatre with different names.

I found newspaper references to the Palace-Casino Theatre in Randall Square in 1911-1912.

In the February 16, 1914 issue of The Pawtucket Times there was reported a Suffragist Party meeting of the fifth and seventh districts that would be held at the Palace Casino, Randall Square, Providence.
