Located in the south of the city centre at the corner of Avinguda del Paral-lel and Carrer de Vilamari. The Cine Avenida was opened 23rd September 1930 with “Hollywood Revue”. It had 1,600 seats. On 9th July 1936 an open-air roof top terrace cinema was opened.
The Cine Avenida was closed on 27th June 1971 with Carlo Giufre in “Transplant” & Rik van Nutter in “A Stroke of 10000 Millions”. It has since been demolished and a block housing apartments and shops has been built on the site.
