My father was a newly qualified architect on that project, which was for Irish Cinemas Ltd. I have some of the working drawings, dated March 1953. Interestingly, the front elevation drawing shows the familiar Odeon brand lettering, where the word Grand appears in the photo above. Perhaps just a five-letter word used for size and spacing?
