Located in the El Ravel district of the city centre, just off the famed las Ramblas. The Cine Diorama was opened on 27th September 1902. Seating was provided for 547, all on a single floor. It was designed both externally and internally in a lavish Spanish Moorish style.
It was rebuilt with apartments above in 1972, re-opening on 14th February 1973 as Cine Diorama 73. It was closed on 25th February 1984.
It reopened on 5th March 1984 as an adult cinema named Sala X. It was closed on 31st August 2000 with “Perversion” and “Intimate Dreams”.
