Previous Names: Royal Assembly Hall, Miller's Picture House

Located in Omagh, County Tyrone. The Royal Assembly Hall was opened on 31st October 1912. By 1927 it was operating as the Picture House. All seating was on a single floor. It was operated for many years by Charles H. Donaghy. who also operated the towns' Star Kinema & later County Cinema. In 1930 it was equipped with a British Talking Pictures(BTP) sound system, which by 1947 had been upgraded to a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. By 1958 a RCA sound system had been fitted.

The Picture House closed in 1961 with Albert Finney in “Saturday Night, Sunday Morning”. It was converted into the Royal Arms Ballroom.

The Picture House was a conversion of the Royal Assembly Hall and opened on 31 October 1912. Films shown on the night included the Relief of Lucknow. It was later known as ‘Miller’s’.
