Located on Henshaw Street off Hyde Road in West Gorton to the east of the city centre. The Savoy Picture Palace was opened prior to 1914. It was a very basic cinema, with a corrugated iron roof and wooden benches as seats. In 1936 & 1937 it was operated by the J.F. Emery Circuit. It was closed in 1948.
