Located in the Eixample district of the city centre. The Cine Lido was opened on 4th April 1942. In December 1953 it became the first cinema in Barcelona to be equipped with a widescreen. By the early-1970’s the Cine Lido was getting a reputation as being a pick-up place for gay men. By 1981 it had gone over to screening sexploitation films. It was closed in 1984.

The building survives in 2018, but the space which housed the Cine Lido its use is unknown.
