The ten-year old Electric Theatre moved to the west side of the Wausau business district continuing under the name of the Lyric Theatre in the silent era. The Lyric Theatre launched January 5, 1916 withe double-feature of “Polly Redhead” and “The Fatal Ring”.

The theatre went of business looking for a new owner on June 30, 1920. The Lyric Theatre reopened briefly in January of 1921 before closing that same month January 30, 1921. The venue became a house of worship briefly in 1921. It was retrofitted for other retail purposes thereafter.
