The Rex Theatre opened in the Baillio Building opened September 15, 1946 with Robert Walker in “Sailor Takes a Wife”. It was the second theatre in the building which house the Bailey Theatre years earlier. The Liberty Theatre Circuit closed the Rex Theatre on May 1, 1955. The Baillio Building was demolished in March of 1977.
