Frank Dado built the three-story Dado’s Auditorium and Hall, opening on May 13, 1924. The building housed a dance hall, movie theater and garage. The auditorium was revamped and renamed the Ritz Theatre in 1939. The theatre stopped showing movies in April of 1941 with locals going to the competing Palace Theatre. The auditorium and hall continued doing live venue events and dances for many years after.
