Found It!

The address is 2521 TX-254 Loop, Strawn, Texas.

The drive-in sat on the north side of what was Highway 80, today TX-254 Loop. Today, a business sits on the south end of the property, but the screen and concession stand/projector booth are still intact.

Billboard, July 31, 1954: “Mrs. Jerry Reynolds recently purchased the Rocket Drive-In at Strawn, Tex.”

I have a question, wouldn’t this drive in have a Ranger, Tx address instead of Strawn, Texas? The old abandoned Ranger Hill Truck Stop Cafe across the highway from the drive in has a Ranger address? All other information that I have seen on this drive in has it being located in Ranger, Texas.

It says “Strawn, TX” on Google Maps when I click on the link.

But having said that, I’ve seen on more than one occasion using Google Maps that two different towns still work with the same address. The long closed 51 Drive-In can be seen in Google Maps using both Tulsa and Broken Arrow as the cities even with the same address.

So, six of one, half a dozen of the other when it comes to Google Maps.
