Opened in 1910, this movie theatre was located in the famous Meir. In 1935 it showed “De Witte” based on the novel of Ernest Claes, the story of a little boy. It was later remodeled to the plans of architect Rie Haan. At the end it was showing German exploitation sex movies and closed in 1959. By 1995 it was in use as Mendys restaurant & tea room. It has since been demolished, a clothes store took its place.
