101 N. Shaver Street,

Opened in 1935 as the Rita Theater. It closed in the early-1950’s. It was converted to a furniture store and operated as Norman’s furniture until sometime after 2000. The original balcony etc. can still be seen.
The strange thing about this theater is patrons entered from the rear such that the screen was on the street side of the structure. This theater almost backs up to the Long’s Theater just down the block and both are just down from the Capitan Theater which is currently undergoing renovation and restoration.
