The Lyric Theatre was opened on 7th June 1924 with 600-seats. It was operated by Tas. Newman. Talkies were introduced in 1931. By 1950 it was operated by A.T. Manion and by 1951 it was Jack Bilson. By 1968-1969 it was operated by A. Armalli.

The foyer section of the theatre is used in 2020 as a coffee lounge.
