The RAAF(Royal Australian Air Force) base in East Sale opened in 1943. The hall screenings started in 1944. Movie screenings moved to a parachute drying building in 1952. The hall then became the base gymnasium. Both buildings came from the town of Tocumwal. Renamed Telstar(named after a satellite?) in the 1960’s. Renamed Roulette(named after a type of air force plane?) in the(1990’s?). Digital projection installed in 2011.
