The Xenia Auto Inn Theatre opened on June 28, 1947 at the northeast corner of Cincinnati Pike (US 42) and what was then Babb Road, a half mile south of Xenia. Dean Dennis, one of the three incorporators, was the manager. The other two members of the company were William G. Clingman and E. R. Jackson. It had a 44x33-foot screen and room for 400 cars.
Apparently business suffered when another drive-in opened in Xenia in 1950. Dayton History Books wrote that the Auto Inn’s last movie was in the fall of 1957.
