This was the eastern border of the entire huge building at the time. An entrance was later added on Third Avenue by purchasing space previously occupied by a store. The 58th Street entrance was then closed and used mostly for display purposes and exiting of patrons. At really busy times, the boxoffice would be used as an auxiliary to Third Avenue.
