The Larkfield Drive-In, just east of the Grove City limits, operated from 1947 to 1980. According to the Grove City Historical Society, the name Larkfield Drive-In Theater was registered by Chester and Lavonne Demarsh on May 15, 1947. It held 300 cars. In 1975-80 it was owned by the Cinemette Corporation of America.
On June 15, 2019, the Larkfield’s brick screen tower was demolished to make way for a Dollar General store, according to a story the following week in the Allied News of Grove City. The article said that William DeMarsh built the Larkfield Drive-In in 1946.
