I was the manager/projectionist of this theater (1978-1982) and from (1985-1986). This was a great experience for me and met many new friends. The theater had RCA Brinkert 100 projectors with Xeon lamphouses. The accurate seating capacity was 328. I now live in Florida and while on vacation, drove past the theatre and was shocked it was closed. I think it was the year 2000. Nevertheless, it brings back great memories and it also was my first full time job.

This was the place where I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show for the first time. We used to drive well over an hour to get there but we always had a great time. The cast there was great. Some of the regular people that came EVERY Saturday night were interesting to say the least. I saw the Rocky Horror at a couple other theaters but the Mundelein Theateer was by far my favorite.
