Cinema Puccini

Closed for decades, this now decrepit former cinema has been a blight to the Casal Bertone district in which it still stands, and there have been sporadic attempts to create plans to convert the property to some kind of public use. Originally opened in the 1940’s, it was closed by the early-1960’s. In 1991 it became a center for receiving migrants; otherwise it remains untouched and decaying. A YouTube video created by some neighborhood residents pleads for something positive to be done with the place as it continues to deteriorate.
