Located on Park Road in the Easton district of the Isle of Portland, to the south of Weymouth, Dorset. The building, constructed of Portland Stone was originally a Methodist Chapel. It was converted into the Palace Theatre by 1914 and was operated by the Albany Ward Circuit. In the mid-1930’s it was taken over by independent operators. Throughout its life it never opened on Sunday’s.

The Palace Theatre was closed in 1958 with Kenneth More in “The Admirable Crichton”(aka Paradise Lagoon) which played to an audience of 2 on its final night. It was converted into a youth club which operated for several years. It was later demolished and housing has been built on the site.
