Located in the Altona district in Ottenen in the west side of the city. The Ferry Theater was opened in 1909 and was operated by Hugo Haupt Ferry with a capacity of 560 seats. Hugo Haupt Ferry also operated the Ferry Theater in St. Pauli district (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures). In 1919 the cinema was modenized and the number of seats was epanded to 750 and it was re-named Elite Theater. In 1931 a sound system was installed.

The Elite Theater was closed in 1941, possibly due to conditions during World War II?
