Hansa Lichtspiele Buehne Bergedorf

Located in the Bergedorf district to the southeast of the city. Built on the site of the Neues Hansa Theater (1915-1927), which has its own page on Cinema Treasures.

The Hansa Lichtspiele Buehne Bergedorf was opened in 1928 with 800-seats. It was operated by Franz Harten, who had been the operator of the Neues Hansa Theater. In 1930 a Klangfilm/Tobis sound system was intalled and the number of reast was reduced to 650. In 1941 the cinema was closed, possibly due to condition during World War II.

It re-opened in 1949. The E VII projectors were by Ernemann. In 1956 it was equipped with CinemaScope. The Hansa Lichtspiele Buehne Bergedorf was closed in 1966.
