The Macklind was a small neighborhood house located a block west of Kingshighway Blvd. The Macklind was built in 1910 as the Arsenal and was just a plain and simple theatre to take care of the nieghborhood movie goers. Single floor structure with a small entrance and the ticket booth facing the street. The Macklind closed in 1951 and was gutted and a plumbing company has occupied the building since. The Macklind was located right at the entrance to the Hill neighborhood (Italian Section of the City).
