On April 30, 1955, Boxoffice reported, “DAYTON, WASH. - The Sunset Drive-In west of here was opened recently by Manager Lowell Spiess”.

The 1958 Motion Picture Almanac listed the Sunset Drive-In with a capacity of 200, owner Lowell Spies.

The drive-in was still intact in a 1981 aerial photo, but its screen was gone by a 1996 photo. The site is now home to an RV park.

The concession building may still exist, possibly used as a site office for the RV Park or for Toilet/Shower use?
