The January 30, 1967 issue of Boxoffice reported, “Bill Semple has opened the new 188-seat Pronghorn Theatre in Gillette, Wyo”.

Semple’s 2011 obituary said that he had opened the local Sky Hi Drive-In Theatre in 1963 and opened the Pronghorn Theatre “at 211 S. Gillette Avenue” in 1967.

The Pronghorn Theatre announced its closure in October 1983.
