Savoy Cinema

Located in the village of Woodford Halse, to the south of Daventry, Northamptonshire. The Savoy Cinema was opened in 1936 with Greta Garbo in “Queen Christina”. It was independently operated by Neall Cinemas (Woodford) Ltd and films were booked at the Regal Cinema, Daventry. It was equipped with a British Acoustic(BA) sound system.

The Savoy Cinema was still open in 1958, but had closed by 1963. It was demolished in 1994.
