The Dundale opened about 1960, located on Route 72, near Route 25. The single screen drive-in was operated by the Chicago-based M & R Theatres chain during the 70s. The Dundale closed in the very early 80s.
It later was used as a used car lot, after everything but its marquee was demolished. As of a few years ago, the site has been completely replaced by industrial buildings.

I miss the old Dundale Drive-in. The best part was the playground before the movie. The little merry-go-round was the best.
Approx. address for this drive-in was 1101 Higgins Road. Rock Road Dr. was the entrance.
The Dundale Drive-In was leased by Plitt Theatres for one or two seasons in the early 80’s. Plitt was the last operator of the location.
