The Palace Theatre was opened by 1935. The November 7, 1953 issue of Billboard reported, “Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Tunnell have started construction of a 200-car drive-in at Silverton, Tex. They own and operate the Palace Theatre there”.
The 1950 Film Daily Year Book included Silverton’s Palace Theatre with 358 seats. It was still open in 1957
