A “Doorman” would take tickets at a stanchion about twenty-feet up a very slight slope from the front door. Herman was a fixture at the theater. I dont know how long he worked there, but he was a classical figure there. He was from the Bronx. This is an oil on canvas, 24x30 painted in 1981 by Mary Delaney
