Cinema Bonapart

Located in the Latin Quarter south of the city centre, close to Le Jardin du Luxembourg. The Cinema Bonaparte originally opened in 1931 in the Neo-Classical style Le Foyer Francais building, with 370-seats located in orchestra & balcony levels. It was remodeled to the plans of architect M. Edouard Lardillie and the seating capacity was increased to 430-seats. By Winter of 1973 it had been remodelled to the plans of architect M. Bernard Ceyssac and there were 400-seats. It was closed in 1987. In 2019 it is in use as a Chinese restaurant. In October 2022 it was being renovated in use as an Asian/Chinese Cultural Centre.
