The Kennedy family started with its first Broken Bow theatre in 1911 when he purchased the Lyric Theatre prior to its 1915 move. This was son C. Howard Kennedy’s first of two theatres he would build in town. The Streamline Moderne style theatre launched December 17, 1936 with Eleanor Powell in “Born to Dance". The Bow Theatre was still open in 1957.
