Located in Forth, Lanarkshire and serving the villages of Forth & Wilsontown. The Tinto Cinema was opened by 1938, originally with 800-seats. It was equipped with a British Thomson-Houston(BTH) sound system. It was closed in 1965 or 1966 with John Wayne in “Donovan’s Reef”. It was soon demolished and a row of homes for the elderly and the village chapel were built on the site.
