Opened on November 24, 1946 with Bette Davis in “Deception”. Movies played through the early- 1970’s then it was converted into a bar and concert venue. In the early days the Crest Theatre had a segregated balcony and a separate entrance for African-American patrons. The building has been adapted for a variety of different retail tenants over the years and is still known as the Crest Building. By 2022 it was in use as a sports bar.
