Queen's Cinema

In Stirling, Sterlingshire, central Scotland, the Queen’s Kinema opened in September 1928. It was operated by Menzies Bros. and, when the talkies arrived, a Western Electric(WE) sound system was installed.

Later known as the Queen’s Cinema, it was taken over by Stirling Cinemas and Variety Theatres.

It is not known when the Queen’s Cinema closed, but its final appearance in the Kinematograph Year Books was in 1957.

By the late-1970’s the building was in use as an auctioneers; it was demolished in the mid-1980’s.
