The Hiawatha Theatre was in operation by 1914. In 1924 it was bought by Willoughby’s First National Bank and dismantled, and the building was converted for use as banking rooms. In 1914 the theatre’s address was 14 Erie Street, but a ca.1930 photo shows the First National Bank located in the premises that are now numbered 4135 Erie Street, so that was most likely the theatre’s former location. In 2021 the space is occupied by the offices of an architectural design firm.
