The neon Penn sign is no longer lit. Everything has gone dark at this theater for many years. It is now owned by The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Butler County, and is on the market for sale.

CORRECTION TO ABOVE DESCRIPTION, SHOULD READ: The Housing and Redevelopment Authority of The City of Butler. The Penn Theater is located within the Downtown Historic District of Butler, PA and should qualify for restoration grants and tax incentives.
