Photoplay Theatre

This small theatre appears on the April 1913 Sanborn, in the eastern storefront of the Arlington Hotel, a two-story brick building constructed sometime after 1908 (when the lot was occupied by a bakery operated out of a small tent).

If it had not already closed, this theatre was doomed by the opening of the Gem Theatre across the street, and the 1921 map shows the space as a grocery.

While it operated, the address was 105 W. Main Street, but the numbers were later changed. The building was replaced long ago by an unattractive one story commercial building.
