356 was a single screen theater until the mid-80s when it became a quad.

The Cinema 356 actually opened on July 3, 1974. The first film to play there was “The Midnight Man”, a Universal mystery with Burt Lancaster and Susan Clark. I obtained this information from microfilms of The Butler Eagle at the Butler Area Public Library.

Too bad the old building could not be saved, Ten Screens were added in a new theatre in a new location,wouldn’t surprize me if it had already closed.
