As reported in The Corona Courier, E.L Sparr moved his Happy Hour Theatre to the Bonfoey building and opened May 9, 1910, as La Corona Theatre.

On May 23, 1910, Mr. Sparr presented the 13-minute film “Roosevelt in Africa”. Because of Theodore Roosevelt’s popularity the film was an important event for Corona as it had a run at the Simpson Auditorium in Los Angeles the week of April 18.

La Corona Theatre was listed in American Motion Picture Directory 1914-15 and it closed June 19, 1915, with Mr. Sparr selling his equipment to Tally’s of Los Angeles.

When La Corona Theatre closed, the Majestic Theatre continued to be advertised in the Courier.
