The Plaza East Twin Cinema opened its doors on September 13, 1972, with Alan Arkin in “Last Of The Red Hot Lovers” at Screen 1 and Lee Marvin in “Prime Cut” at Screen 2. It was later taken over by General Cinema in October 1975. It was closed in the early-1990-s and demolished in the mid-1990’s.
