Situated at 73 State Street, the theatre was originally known as the Crown, and first opened in 1914 with 1,050 seats. Barry Goodkin’s list of “Connecticut Motion Picture & Vaudeville Theatres” cites the Victory as demolished, but with no date given.

It changed its name to Victory after the US victory in World War 2.
