The Cluster Drive-In opened in 1950, named for its original owner. It could accomodate over 600 cars, and originally had a corral for pony rides for children.
After the Cluster closed in the 70s, the drive-in was demolished, except for the foundation of the screen tower, which became a sidewalk for the church which was later built on the site, in a novel bit of reuse.

A new Drive In Theater was opened in Salem, Illinois in recent years but I’m not sure of the name.
Loren & Stewart Cluster were the co-managers of the Cluster Circuit in the early sixties. Cluster also operated the Palace in Johnston City, IL and the Globe, Lyric and Salem in Salem, IL.
