The last film was home on the range
I believe that the drive in was opened in 1948.I worked there as a field boy in 1959-1961.It was an after school job.I also worked at the ticket booth and changed the marquee when the movie changed.I have many great memories of my time there.A lady by the name of Connie Pruitt ran the concession,she was a very nice lady and made what I thought was the best hamburgers in town.Truman Greer was my boss and ran the projectors.He was a great boss and a lot of fun.I am 73 now so it was a lone time ago.My take home pay was $8.97 per week,but on my night off I could bring a date and watch the movie for free.WHAT A TIME IT WAS.
Looks like a Walden ranch supply was built on the site.
