Mid 1980s sketch I did from a published vintage photo of one of the two lions which flanked the proscenium of the Alisal Theatre, Salinas. An identical pair flanked the stage of the Alex, when it was given its Skouras era redecoration. When I toured the Alex in 1996, and again in 1998, I saw one of them on display in the lobby.
