Thanks for these photos of the RKO KEITHS…Lived in Whitestone. Jr. High Graduating ceremonies were held in this georgous building.I was fortunate enough to be able to view this first hand. From the lobby instead of going up the staircase you could go to the side and walk a carpeted winding path up to the seats or balcony. Liked doing that as the walls were bubbled and I would touch them to feel the beauty. This is very sad that it wasnt restored.Elegance all the way.

Yes the plaster work was incredible and it was a work of art. To destroy this thing of beauty was beyond stupid.
