The big screen at the Sunset Drive-In was first lit up on May 10, 1951 at the beginning of the drive-in boom, like so many others the screen eventually went dark.

It’s story didn’t end there though. It was restored, revived and reopened in 2001.

Open seasonally May through October with a capacity for 150 cars. Audio is provided by both the traditional speakers and FM radio. Admission for the Sunset is $5.00 for 12 and up. 11 and under is free. Wednesdays are bargain night with a $10.00 per carload admission.
